❝ When I was creating the text for this meditation, I was inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi.
The philosophy of this art is that wounds and imperfections are part of your history, not a cause for shame. What was broken becomes even more beautiful after healing. Kintsugi masters restore broken ceramic vessels with golden lacquer, not concealing the cracks, but highlighting them.
Using the Kintsugi metaphor, we learn to recognize that our flaws make us beautiful and distinctive, and that past mistakes are simply valuable experience that leads to wisdom.❞
